Description:
Very rare early Squeeze Chest Musical Teddy Bear with a very sweet expression and humped back.
This beautiful teddy bear is all made of gold mohair, straw stuffed, swivel head, jointed at shoulders and hips, large hump to back, big round ears, long curved arms, elongated hands and narrow ankles, beige felt pads and four black claws on paws, brown thread stitched mouth and vertically stitched nose, black and brown glass eyes.
It has a working music box inside belly that sounds when it is squeezed and released.
Unmarked but very probably made in
Germany,
circa 1920’s

) tall to the top of ears.
Condition:
Absolutely original with working musical mechanism, somewhat soiled all over, thinning to mohair, a few bald patches, wear and fading all over. Sold as-is.
