28" Antique German Teddy Bear w/appraisal

Description

This handsome bear is from the 1920's and Germany according to the appraisal we got from Brenda Yenke (well-known Teddy bear expert). He's in very good condition and is jointed. His joints are a bit loose though - but even so he can still hold a pose. His mohair is very good as well but he does have a few sparser patches. There is some type of string visible in his neck joint. We left it there because we didn't know if that was original to the bear joint or not.... Please view the appraisal for specific information and also please look at the photos carefully as they are a major part of the description. We believe he is completely straw stuffed as he is crunchy everywhere. His eyes may have been replaced as well as his pads (see appraisal). The photos of him on the couch more accurately depict his color (as opposed to the photos of him on the table with the red table cloth).  We are really hoping he finds a home with a serious collector because he really needs to be taken well care of for the future.
